Here are two ways to keep your character’s outfits in story mode in GTA 5!
1. Save Outfit Using Default Saving System
Saving your outfit in story mode is easy. Go to your safehouse, locate the wardrobe, and press “E” to access it. Pick your outfit, press “Enter,” go to your bed, and press “E” to save progress with the outfit.
Do note that you can only save the outfit of one main character at a time. If you select Franklin, only his outfit will be saved when you resume the game after exiting.
This is because GTA 5 has one unique trait that makes each main character’s clothes and situation change when you start the game, except for the one you decide to save before quitting.
Upon re-entering the game, you will spawn at your last saved location with your chosen character and clothes.
2. Save Outfit Using Mods
This one is tricky. This method requires some skill in using the file directories of GTA 5, but this method is the most effective when saving clothes for your 3 main characters.
The “SP Outfit Saving” mod allows you to save multiple custom outfits, like what you do on GTA Online. You can also switch between the saved outfits at any time.

Next, download the “SP Outfit Saving” mod via the link below and place the files in the package in your script folder: “Grand Theft Auto 5/script”.
Open GTA 5, choose either 1 of 3 characters, buy them a new outfit, then press “O” to open the outfits menu, select “Save” and type in the name for that outfit. Afterward, you can spawn that outfit whenever you want.
