The vast ocean cover of Los Santos contains several mysterious secrets that most people are often unaware of.
Besides the wreck of the UFO and plane, there’s also a hidden underwater hatch that may surprise you with the story behind it.
GTA 5 Easter Egg: Underwater Hatch
The GTA 5 Easter egg, underwater hatch, is alleged to resemble the hatch in the TV show Lost. However, the primary difference here is that while the hatch in the TV show is located deeply in the jungle, the hatch in GTA 5 is placed at the bottom of the sea.
It’s tricky to point out the exact location of the underwater hatch, as it’s far from the seashore, and there’s no pinpoint to keep an eye on.
Keep in mind that because of the depth of the underwater hatch, using a vehicle (in this case, the submersible) can even lead to death due to the high pressure.
For this reason, cheating or using mods is advisable to explore the Easter egg safely.
Interesting Fact: You’ll hear a creepy sound as soon as you approach the hatch. According to some sources, this sound is believed to be the Tap code.
Inside the hatch, there’s also a light. While some players have reported this light turning off when they approach, our test indicates that it remains on.
