The Gooch returns in GTA Online a year after its first appearance on the Festive Surprise 2022 update.

The Gooch in GTA Online (Overview)
The Gooch in GTA Online draws inspiration from Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch, with its appearance being attributed to the 2000 movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The daring entity will appear, stealing your cash and snacks, similar to when you call Lamar to send a Mugger after another player.
How to Spawn the Gooch
Spawning the creature is slightly tricky. However, these are all minimum requirements:
- There are two players in a session. “Invite Only” and “Closed Friend” sessions are viable if you’re trying to avoid Public lobbies.
- The session is 48 minutes old. This equates to one GTA day, and the timer starts once a lobby is created.
- Must be in Free Mode. Try to avoid entering your properties.
- Cash and snacks in your inventory. Have them so the Gooch can rob you.
- Be on foot. If you have a friend in the lobby, stay close to them to encounter the entity faster.
Occasionally, the Gooch may rob players in a car or a helicopter when idling.
After the 48-minute mark or upon entering an old lobby, the entity will manifest from a puff of green smoke. It’ll approach and temporarily immobilize you before running away. Its radar icon is marked as a red dot.
Rewards for Killing the Gooch
Once defeated, the monster will drop a Christmas present containing $25,000, some RP, and items stolen from you. Moreover, you’ll obtain the rare Gooch outfit!
Killing the Gooch in GTA Online is easy. Unlike the Yeti, it won’t fight back, but you must take it down within two minutes!
If another player kills the Gooch, they won’t be able to collect the dropped loot. The monster can also respawn, giving you an extra $25,000 and some RP without the clothing.
