GTA 6 Won “the Most Anticipated Game of 2024 and Beyond”
As seen on the PlayStation.Blog website, PlayStation has awarded Grand Theft Auto VI the “Most Anticipated Game of 2024 and Beyond” award, indicating the immense popularity of GTA 6 among fans.
Additionally, upon looking at the awards on their website, GTA Online also got recognized and has been given the “Gold Trophy for the 2023 PlayStation Blog Best Ongoing Game Winner” award.
Also, if you check out the website, you’ll see loads of awards given out for different games. Props to Rockstar for snagging two awards despite all the hype around new games.

How Did GTA 6 Manage to Get an Award Despite Not Released Yet?
In our opinion, GTA 6 received this award because PlayStation recognizes what it has done for the community in the past few weeks. Imagine being the center of attention in the gaming community despite numerous news stories circulating in the gaming world.
Looking back at the GTA 6 trailer, it was released way back on December 5, 2023, after Rockstar announced on their Twitter account that the trailer had been leaked, making them release it earlier than expected.
This caused the fans and gaming community to go into a frenzy! YouTubers are creating their own reactions, while blog sites like ours are busy making headlines, social media platforms are going crazy over the GTA 6 trailer, etc.
Although we know that the GTA franchise is popular, no one ever expected such a reaction to the GTA 6 trailer from fans, gamers, and even haters.
Sony and Rockstar’s Partnership
A few years ago, there were a lot of rumors circulating that Sony was trying to buy Rockstar Games. Additionally, Sony and Rockstar seem to have had a perfect relationship ever since GTA titles were made.
Back in 2020, Sony and Rockstar teamed up for marketing and exclusive collaborations throughout their careers. In fact, there was also a Reddit thread discussing this partnership.
Four months ago, a Redditor asked if Sony and Rockstar would make GTA 6 a PlayStation exclusive. However, due to an announcement by Take-Two Interactive on their website, we now know it will be released on the next-gen consoles.
