What’s New in The Chop Shop Update?
The Chop Shop update includes new missions, businesses, a new garage, and more.
Here’s what features in the update:
1. The Salvage Yard
Yusuf and his cousin Jamal have an exciting plan for robbery, and they want you in on it.
After joining the session, you’ll receive a call from Yusuf to start with the Salvage Yard business, a front for their elaborate scheme.
You’ll plan and execute heists for high-demand cars, using your Yard’s tools to break down vehicles and sell parts or whole vehicles for profit.
There are 5 purchasable Salvage Yard locations, and all of them can be purchased via the Maze Bank Foreclosure website.
Salvage Yard Location | Price |
Paleto Bay Salvage Yard | $1,620,000 |
Sandy Shores Salvage Yard | $2,030,000 |
Murrieta Heights Salvage Yard | $2,420,000 |
Strawberry Salvage Yard | $2,570,000 |
La Puerta Salvage Yard | $2,690,000 |
2. New Robberies
In this update, Yusuf aims to add specific vehicles to his collection in Los Santos through Jamal’s organized operation, which involves a series of meticulously planned robberies.
You’ll have to be a pro at all sorts of things like disguises, hacking, and driving like a boss, and you’ll need to make quick decisions on the fly to stay ahead of the law.
To steal a car, you must research, prepare, and complete different tasks. And then, you have to go all out and finish it with a bang!
Note: You can easily identify which car to steal because it has a customized license plate.
3. New Car Additions
Rockstar has gone all out with this DLC update, adding a bunch of sweet rides for us to check out. Whether you’re into flashy exotics, sleek tuners, rugged SUVs, or vintage classics, they’ve got you covered.

4. The New Vinewood Club Garage (GTA+ Members)
If you own a next-gen console and you’re a GTA+ member, this is great news for you! Rockstar’s newest DLC update has provided members with a new luxurious garage!
You can park up to 100 of your own cars in this awesome garage located in Pillbox Hill. Your buddies will be all over you once they see your collection, and they’ll want to join the GTA+ too!
5. New Drift Races and Handling Kits
A new way to excite GTA players who want a more thrilling driving experience is now available with the new drift races in GTA Online.
Get ready to level up your driving skills, as these races are all about drifting, navigating tricky obstacles, and mastering consecutive turns. The more flawless your moves, the higher your multiplier score will be.
Just be sure not to hit some obstacles, as this will result in losing some multipliers you’ve gained.
6. Animals in GTA Online (Next-Gen Consoles Only)
Awesome news for all the GTA Online gamers out there! You can now spot animals wandering around Los Santos, but hold on.
It’s only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Sadly, you can’t get that feature on PC or older consoles. Looks like it’s time to upgrade to the latest console before GTA 6 drops in 2025.
7. A New Weapon
Rockstar has also added this new battle rifle, which is available for purchase.
You can choose either the Gun Van or the Armory inside your Agency to get a hold of this badass rifle.
Just so you know, the Gun Van moves around a lot and you never know where it will show up next. So, we highly recommend picking up the gun at the Armory in your Agency instead.
The weapon costs $422,875, but if you’re a GTA+ member, you get a special 20% discount.
8. November Community Challenge Rewards
Remember that community challenge we posted way back on November 10th? Well, guess what? The community nailed it!
